Dikshit asks NCC cadets to come forward during 2010 Games

Describing National Cadet Corp as a medium of social change, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit asked the cadets to come forward and offer their services during the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Describing National Cadet Corp as a medium of social change, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Wednesday asked the cadets to come forward and offer their services during the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

During an interaction with the NCC cadets at Delhi Secretariat, Dikshit also asked them to become role models for others.

Acknowledging the role of NCC in grooming illustrious citizens of tomorrow, she said India's future was in safe hands.

The Chief Minister said NCC Cadets as well as children could also play a vital role in the road safety campaigns.

Besides, Dikshit appreciated the efforts of NCC cadets for helping Delhi Traffic Police in creating awareness about road safety.

She also exhorted cadets to do their best in conservation of environment and resources to make India a "country of our dreams".
