Although Dwarka was connected with Metro a long time back, the new line will help cover the same distance in 20 minutes flat.

The line is especially a boon for those who are living in and around Dwarka Sector 21.

“Reaching Dwarka from Central Delhi in such a short time for just Rs 100 is incredible. I used to take the Metro till last year, but later the crowd became quite unmanageable. So, I had change my mode of transportation and travel by autorickshaw,” Avinash Gupta, a resident of Sector 21, said, adding that there is nothing better than the Metro. It will save both time and money.

Autorickshaws usually charge between Rs 150 and Rs 200 from Connaught Place to Dwarka.

“I think it’s great that the line is finally functional. Now, I can travel by this line if I get late in the evening and my even parents don’t have to worry about my safety,” said Kaveri Khanna, a resident of Sector 9.
