The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) announced on Wednesday that consumers will have to pay only current charges in water and sewerage bills and settle the balance in a soon-to-be launched campaign.

The board has also decided to waive off late payment surcharge in arrears, which is aimed at reducing individual arrears burden, a statement said.

The DJB will organise special camps across Delhi to resolve billing issues for the next two months. The DJB will also set up a dispute resolution committee under zonal offices to organise camps.
