Other dignitaries included Devisingh Shekhawat, deputy chairman of the Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia, law minister Salman Khurshid, Ashok Chandra and Admiral MM Chopra, the chairman and vice chairman, respectively, of the DPS Society and principal DR Saini.
“The prospect of a great nation depends on a strong educational system,” the President said.
“Aryabhatta, Kalidas, Tansen, Thyagarajan and other scholars have made the country proud since time memorial and since then the educational system has changed according to the requirement. But with an advanced educational system and new levels of excellence, we have to grow not just academically, but also morally and become good citizens,” she added.
