Citing aesthetic reasons for the rejection, the DUAC suggested the NDMC to look into fiber optics technology to lower the height of the towers.

“A proposal had come to us from the service providers through the NDMC. Long communication towers have a negative impact on the surrounding’s aesthetic appeal. We have suggested NDMC to lower the height of the towers,” said K.T. Ravindran, chairman of DUAC.
