In a shocking incident, a 6-7 month-old female foetus was found on the terrace of an under-construction house in southwest Delhi’s Bindapur area on Monday morning.

“A case under section 318 (concealment of birth by secret disposal of dead body) IPC has been registered at Bindapur police station and further investigation is underway,” said DCP (Southwest) Surender Kumar.

It is suspected that the foetus could have been lying on the terrace for a couple of days, police said.

Police has launched an investigation to find the doctor who carried out the termination of pregnancy and the identity of the parents.

Locals are being questioned to know if they saw any suspicious activity near the area, they added.
