Fog delays 100 flights, similar days ahead

Dense fog at the Indira Gandhi International Airport disrupted flights on Tuesday - the second day in a row. It resulted in delay of 100 flights, diversion of seven and cancellation of 10.

The situation is not expected to improve on Wednesday either.

The meteorological department has predicted thick fog will shroud the airport in the morning till around 2am.

The city, too, witnessed a thick fog cover on Tuesday.

The minimum temperature dropped to 16.2 degrees Celsius, five degrees below normal, while the minimum was 7 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal.

Similar weather conditions are expected on Wednesday.
