The arrested were identified as Shiela Gupta (41), her neighbour Sushila Choudhary (34), Yogesh Dagar (23) and Jitender (26).

Police said a man was found lying in a pool of blood around 1.20 am yesterday when they responded to a call. The victim was identified as Virender Singh (40), a resident of Rohini who used to run printing press at Paharganj.

During investigation, police said, it came to light that Singh was having a relationship with accused Shiela for the past several years and he used to visit her house and extended financial help to her.

"On the night of incident, an altercation broke between Singh and Shiela, who runs private tuition at her house. For the past few months, Singh had stopped giving any financial help while demanding his money back and harassing her," police said.

Shiela then allegedly called her friend Sushila Choudhary to help her after which the latter called her acquaintances Yogesh Dagar and Jitender in the neighbourhood to help Shiela.

When they reached Shiela's house, an argument broke out and all of them started beating Singh in fit of rage. Singh later succumbed to injuries.
