Free guides for visit to red fort and qutub minar

As many as 35 students each from Indraprastha College for Women and Tagore Internat-ional School have volunteered to offer free guide service at the two World Heritage Sites.

Unlike the conventional method, where the guides move around with the visiting group, these student guides would be stationed at various important locations inside the Red Fort and Qutub Minar complexes.

“These students would be available for the tourists from 10am to 3pm,” said a senior Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) officer.

Many of those from the Indraprastha College for Women are students of BA (Hons) History while those from the Tagore International School are from Classes 11 and 12.

These students have undergone basic training required for the job, before venturing into the field to guide tourists and visitors.
