The Moti Nagar police station of west district has busted a gang of road robbers and snatchers with the arrest of its kingpin and another associate on Saturday.

According to police, the arrested kingpin of the gang, Rajesh alias Raju, is involved in several murder and robbery cases.

Police said the gang was active in the areas of west district and the arrested criminals were planning to commit a big armed robbery when they were nabbed by a police team led by Raj Kumar, Station House Officer (SHO) of the Moti Nagar police station.

The other arrested criminal has been identified as Ajay Kumar. One gold chain, a Bajaj Discover motorcycle, loaded country made pistol and two mobile phones were recovered from their possession.
