Gangrape victim continues to remain in 'extremely critical condition'

The gangrape survivor, who was flown to Singapore on Wednesday night for better treatment, is admitted in the intensive care unit -1 (ICU) of the country's Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
Briefing mediapersons on Thursday evening, the hospital's chief executive officer, Dr Kelvin Loh, said, "As at 7pm (Singapore time) the patient remains in an extremely critical condition."
"A multi-disciplinary team of specialists is doing everything possible to stabilise her," he added.
Sources told HT that the girl was wheeled into the ICU around 10am (India time), and before that a whole body CT-scan was performed on her.
"Doctors are trying different lines of drugs to control her infection, which is the primary concern. Transplant is not the priority right now," said the source.
The doctors zeroed in on the country primarily due to its proximity to India.
