Goenka School students meet Roemer

A delegation of 15 Students of G D Goenka World School, Sohna Road visited the Indian Institute of Cultural Studies to meet the U.S. Ambassador to India, Timothy Roemer.

A delegation of 15 Students of G D Goenka World School, Sohna Road visited the Indian Institute of Cultural Studies to meet the U.S. Ambassador to India, Timothy Roemer.

Students asked questions regarding Indo-U. S. ties and also launched a website based on the Indo-Islamic project along with the U.S. Ambassador.

He told the students that three main reasons for the launch of this website are Education, Technology and to create bonds between people.

Bal Bharati Public School, Dwarka organised the ‘Face to Faith’ inter-school Conference. It was attended by the representatives of 15 schools from all over India.

The workshop was conducted by Ian Jamison, Facilitator, Tony Blair Faith Foundation. Also present for the event was Simmi Kher, co-ordinator, Tony Blair Faith Foundation and Anju Mehta, Manager, Schools programme, British Council.

Followed by the welcoming ceremony, Suruchi Gandhi, Principal spoke about the school’s journey with the foundation and how it helped create a better school environment. The workshop initiated the participating schools about the functioning and the different activities of the faith foundation.

Students of Modern Delhi Public School, Faridabad celebrated ‘Anukriti’, God’s Unique Creation which was graced by the presence of Anita Yadav, Addtl Deputy Commissioner, Faridabad.

The celebration began with a dance sequence followed by the cultural extravaganza. Students attired in various dresses highlighting different seasons and their specialties were highly informative and gripping. U.S. Verma, Director Principal congratulated participants and shared with parents the school’s endeavour to give stage exposure to students.

Apeejay School, Noida participated in U-15 Inter School Football Tournament organised by National Bal Bhawan, Delhi and won laurels.

The team qualified for the finals by defeating Sanskriti School, Chanakya Puri in the Semi final, Ryan Intl. in the quarter final and CRPF School, Rohini in the finals. Thus, the school has won the Inter School Football Tournament.
