Govt announces Rs 5 lakh compensation for dead

The Delhi Govt announced a compensation of Rs five lakh for the family of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured in the serial blasts.

The Delhi government tonight announced a compensation of Rs five lakh for the family of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured in the serial blasts in the national capital.

Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit made the announcement after an emergency meeting of the state cabinet in New Delhi.

Besides monetary compensation, the government has also decided to provide free medical treatment for those injured in the blasts.
