Delhi Government today directed MCD to intensify its drive against mosquito breeding following rise in cases of chickunguniya fever.

At a meeting here, Health Minister Kiran Walia also directed district health officers to provide best possible medical care to the affected persons.
Walia said the Out Patient Departments in all the Delhi Government hospitals will be operational round the clock in view the rising cases of Chickunguniya and dengue fevers. She said mobile medical with teams of doctors and para-medical staff will be deployed in the entire city to control the situation.
Walia said a campaign will be launched soon to educate people about precautions needed to deal with Chickunguniya and dengue fevers.
