The robbers attacked the security guard before entering the bank and took about 15 minutes to complete the act without firing a single shot.

“As the security guard suspected their activity, all three took out revolvers and one of them snatched the guard’s gun. One hit the guard Leela Ram with the butt of his gun,” said Harpal Yadav the bank manager.

There were five employees and seven customers, Yadav said.

Two robbers guarded the door while a third went around the cashier room and stuffed money into a bag, he added. An employee and a customer were beaten up when they tried to protest, he said.
