Hyundai launches ‘Transform’ed Verna

The country’s second largest carmaker, Hyundai Motor India on Wednesday launched a refurbished version of its mid-sized sedan, Verna, in a price range of Rs 6.55 and Rs 9.21 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The country’s second largest carmaker, Hyundai Motor India on Wednesday launched a refurbished version of its mid-sized sedan, Verna, in a price range of Rs 6.55 and Rs 9.21 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). At around Rs 18,000 dearer than the old Verna, the car will be available in both petrol and diesel variants.

The company expects a 15-16 per cent growth in domestic sales this fiscal. Last year, Hyundai sold 3.15 lakh cars in the domestic market, a growth of 29 per cent.

Currently, it sells 1,400-1,500 Vernas per month. Segment leader Honda City sells over 3,500 units per month.
