According to I-T official sources, the raids were conducted on 69 premises related to gutkha manufacturers. "The survey and search operations were conducted on prominent gutkha manufacturers across 14 states by more than 1,000 I-T officials," a senior I-T official said.

"We conducted operations on manufacturers' offices, godowns and residents, and we've taken documents in our possession to evaluate whether it's a case of tax evasion or concealment of income," the evasion of tax ," the official added.
