“The complainant had approached us on December 2, and we registered a case. However, we are quashing the FIR as her medical examination does not corroborate her claim,” said a senior police officer.
According to police, the complainant had accused her boss — who has recently joined the ICCR from his earlier posting at the Ministry of External Affairs — of raping her during a party to celebrate his new posting. She said the accused raped her after giving her sweets laced with sedatives on November 2.
The accused is a 1991-batch, director-level officer, while the victim hails from Jharkhand.
