Azad informed the Lok Sabha during question hour that the central government was increasing mental health allocation for each district from Rs 1.2 crore per annum to Rs 2.5 crore per annum.
He said the government was serious about mental health and the revised allocation would take care of both awareness and infrastructure development in this field.
