“We are in touch with the Australian Government. We certainly will pursue this with them to prevent the recurrence of such attacks,” External Affairs Minister SM Krishna said on Thursday in Belarus capital Minsk.

Stating that the attacks are being looked into by the Australian Government, he said, “It unfortunate that these attacks have recurred.”

The Minister’s statement came in the backdrop of three Indians being “brutally bashed up” on September 12 by a group at a birthday party in a bar in Melbourne after a brief lull.

Indian High Commissioner to Australia had yesterday taken up the issue with Foreign Minister Stephen Smith and had also written to the premier of Victoria.
