The BCCI top brass boycotted the Awards Night in Mumbai on in the wake of their confrontation with IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi but franchise owners Preity, Vijay Mallaya (Royal Challengers Bangalore), Shilpa Shetty (Rajasthan Royals) and Shah Rukh Khan (Kolkata Knight Riders) attended it.

Asked about this, Preity said nobody should have the impression that the BCCI and franchise owners are on a collision course.

"No, I don't think so that it's BCCI vs franchise owners. It's just how individually we reacted. For us, we wanted to go. It was nice to see cricketers from different team laughing together. It could have been different had controversy not been there," Preity said.

The Bollywood beauty also insisted that there was no hidden stake of anyone in her team and that she welcomes any investigation into the allegations.

"First they said someone bought me this team and now this benami stakes thing. Why can't people believe that I have put my own money into this.

"There is Right to Information. People can find out (the truth). There is not even one rupee of Akash Aurora in this team. He is my friend and I just told him to be with me.

"I have full faith in the system, let the investigation go on, we will support (it)," she said.
