Kin of student who ended life after being scolded protest

Friends and family members of a 17-year-old student, who took his own life after he was allegedly scolded by his girlfriend's father, on Thursday staged a protest demanding action against those who abetted the suicide.

Friends and family members of a 17-year-old student, who took his own life after he was allegedly scolded by his girlfriend's father, on Thursday staged a protest demanding action against those who abetted the suicide.

The protest was staged outside the residence of the girl's father in Peetampura.

Samarath Gupta, a standard XII student, allegedly committed suicide on Sunday by consuming poison at his residence after his friend's father allegedly reprimanded and asked him to concentrate on studies rather than the friendship he shared with his daughter.
