"Coming soon after the Jaipur blasts, it confirms that terrorist groups were active. It is a matter of concern that the Centre has so far failed to uncover the network behind these nefarious activities," the party Politburo said in a statement.

Condemning the Bangalore blasts aimed at disrupting life in the city, it said "it is high time that intelligence and security agencies track down the culprits responsible."

In a separate statement, the CPI Central Secretariat said it was a "sinister attempt to disturb communal harmony and destabilise our society."

The CPI demanded a through probe to pin down the culprits and asked the people of Karnataka to maintain peace and tranquility and not allow communal forces to further vitiate the situation.

CPI National Secretary D Raja would visit the blast sites 0n Saturday.
