The issue would be vociferously raised by the Left parties, which would also take on the BJP and Sangh Parivar for the communal incidents in Karnataka and other parts and the "failure" of the government in tackling them.

Stating this in New Delhi, CPI(M) Politburo member Sitaram Yechury said the Satyam scam would also be raised forcefully in Parliament and the Left parties would seek the government's explanation as to what measures were taken to prevent recurrence of such financial scandals in future.

On the job losses, Yechury said over five lakh people have been rendered unemployed in the organised sector, while lakhs more were losing their jobs in the unorganised sector, particularly in the construction and export-oriented sectors.

The recent goings-on in the Election Commission, terrorism and Sri Lankan issue would also be raised, Left sources said.

Efforts were also on to garner support of other parties on these issues and the session would see some floor coordination between Left and other non-Congress, non-BJP parties, the sources said.
