Following announcement on the stage, the crowd treated it as an ultimate victory for a few minutes before protesters were told that the fight was far from over.

"Anna will continue to fast till they accede to the people's demands," the announcement said.

The number of supporters at the Ramlila Ground, although still quite formidable, saw a significant dip on Thursday.

A large portion of the Ramlila ground had empty patches and the general decibel levels were also a trifle less. Police officials estimated the peak crowd to be around 10,000.

"People have realised that this battle would be a long haul, so they would be coming in to show their support repeatedly. It is perfectly normal to get back to the daily routine," said a volunteer.

But even with evidently decreased footfalls, support kept pouring in from farmers in Haryana, celebrities and students.

Santosh Dahiya of the khap panchayat came here along with 20 other members extending full support to the movement launched by the Gandhian.

Earlier, a group of farmers from Haryana had also come out in support and demanded that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh considers the demands of Anna else they will lay seize in his residence.

A man dressed as Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose arrived amid the crowd to loud cheer. A sadhu from Jalaun in Uttar Pradesh came in loincloth and embarked on a prayer.

There were also eunuchs who came to meet Hazare. These eunuchs led by Bobby Kumari came here under the umbrella of Hindu Yuva Samaj Ekta Aur Atankwad Samiti.

"If given an opportunity I will present a glass of juice to Anna with my own hands. We are taking out rallies in colonies to spread the message of Anna among people," Kumari said.
