It also reiterated its committment to a strong Lokpal, according to reports.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said some "very important" bills are to be presented in the winter session of Parliament and hoped that the opposition would not boycott it.

"I sincerely hope that all political parties will realise that we have some very important pieces of legislation which are going to be presented in this session and our country's sustained development and prosperity demands that many of those bills should be converted as acts of parliament," Singh told reporters before the beginning of the session on Tuesday.

Legislations like the Lokpal Bill are to be discussed in the session that ends Dec 21.
