Maid servant raped at the pretext of better job

A 23-year-old maid servant was allegedly drugged and raped by a youth and his three friends at the pretext of providing her a better job in southeast Delhi's Jamia Nagar.

A 23-year-old maid servant was allegedly drugged and raped by a youth and his three friends at the pretext of providing her a better job in southeast Delhi's Jamia Nagar.

The victim, a native of Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, is the mother of a five-year-old. On the basis of her complaint and medical examination report that confirmed sexual assault, the police have registered a case at Jamia Nagar police station and are looking into the matter. Efforts are being made to apprehend the four youths who are absconding ever since the complaint was lodged. According to the police, the accused, who is known to the victim, had offered her a soft drink laced with sedatives after which she fell unconscious. Then they took turns to rape her.
