Sources said she also held discussions about the upcoming Railway Budget which is expected to be presented in Parliament on July 1.

Home Minister P Chidambaram and Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee were also present.

West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee is also expected to meet the Prime Minister to discuss the demand for Rs 1000 crore for relief and restoration work in the cyclone affected areas.

A central team has already visited the affected areas in South and North 24 Parganas districts as requested by Bhattacharjee.

Banerjee had earlier opposed granting of funds for relief and rehabilitation to the Left Front government alleging corruption, a demand strongly opposed by the CPI(M) which called it "anti-democratic".
