Man arrested for duping 500 people

The Delhi Police have arrested a person, who has over 100 cheating cases registered against him and had recently cheated nearly 500 at the pretext of sending them abroad. The accused, identified as Rajesh Sharma (42), had purchased two flats in Mumbai and has 67 vehicles for his tourist company and had officers in Jalandhar, Hoshiyarpur and Chandigarh from where he used to operate.

“Sharma had given an advertisement for job in Singapore. for which many had applied for and also deposited money for it,” said V Renganathan, additional CP (west).

“Sharma did not disclose his identify to his co-accused. His employees used to hand over the collected money at Mumbai Airport to him” Renganathan added. Sharma was nabbed from his residence at Borivali, Mumbai.
