The incident took place on Sunday night and the deceased has been identified as Satbir. Those were injured in the incident are: Shyamo, Jitender and Jaiprakash from first group and Dipak and Satveer from another group.

According to the police, the clash started following an argument that had broken out two-three days back between two women of the same village -Shyamo and Ramberi - over taking water from a tap.

"On Sunday night, Ramberi had called his brothers who had attacked Shyamo and her family members and had opened fire. In retaliation, the second group and some villagers attacked the first group with batons," said a police officer.

BS Jaiswal, DCP (outer) said they have registered a case under different sections of IPC against both the groups.
