New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has released a video in which he brands Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a “war criminal” and “architect of a horrific genocide against the Palestinian people,” says anyone with “eyes, heart and conscience” should see that he belongs before a court of law, and declares Netanyahu “not welcome in New York City,” while also conceding that his administration has no independent legal authority under U.S. law to execute the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant and therefore calls on the federal government to enforce it instead.
