Man kills uncle over property

A property dispute drove a 20-year-old man to slash his uncle to death and grievously injure his 60-year-old grandmother in east Delhi’s Vishwas Nagar area on Friday night.

A property dispute drove a 20-year-old man to slash his uncle to death and grievously injure his 60-year-old grandmother in east Delhi’s Vishwas Nagar area on Friday night.

According to police, the incident was reported from 28-year-old Gauri Shankar’s residence on Daksh Road around 9pm last evening when Pintu, the victim’s nephew barged into the house, looking for his uncle.

“The family is embroiled in a bitter property dispute because of which Pintu and his parents were forced to leave their home in Delhi and now live in adjacent UP. He wanted to avenge this dishonour,” said a senior police officer.

A case of murder and attempt to murder has been registered.
