When Raj refused to serve him, the 33-year-old fired in the air with his licenced .12 bore double-barrel gun.

"Some fragments of the bullet hit Raj in his thigh. Hari Om fled from the spot," an investigating officer said. Raj was immediately rushed to the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital. He is in a stable condition.

Hari Om has been arrested and the gun used in the offence has also been seized.
