The party has already announced candidates for 260 of the 272 seats and is conducting door-to-door campaign. AAP leaders said they have deployed projectors and LEDs, mounted on cars, to amplify their reach to the electorate.
“About 250 candidates have been provided with two devices, projectors and LEDs. On an average, each device is playing out the 20-minute video message by Arvind Kejriwal thrice a day. Since they are being played at the busiest corners, at least 150 people are expected to watch it at a time. Thus we are being able to reach out to about 1.5 lakh people every day through them,” a senior AAP leader said.
“Some shows are even being arranged in group housing societies in places such as Rohini and Janakpuri,” an AAP leader said.
In the video, Kejriwal talks about the failures of the BJP and Congress in the MCDs and compares it with “AAP’s successes in Delhi”. Party leaders said they will update the video after some time so that it doesn’t get “repetitive”.
