Mechanic found dead in Yamuna, kin cry foul

An 18-year-old man, who had gone missing three days ago after leaving his home for work, was found dead in the Yamuna in north Delhi's Wazirabad area on Thursday evening.

An 18-year-old man, who had gone missing three days ago after leaving his home for work, was found dead in the Yamuna in north Delhi's Wazirabad area on Thursday evening.

The deceased, who worked as a mechanic, was later identified as one Rahul Kumar, a resident of Joharipur area in northeast Delhi's Gokul Puri. Rahul's relatives alleged that he was killed by a woman, with whom he had an illicit relationship, and her husband.

The police, however, refused to comment and said they had launched a probe and would look into all the angles.

On Friday, the kin of the deceased demonstrated in front of the Gokul Puri police station with Rahul's body after the police allegedly refused to lodge a case to probe the circumstances of the death.

In another incident, a 32-year-old man was found dead in Rakabganj area in New Delhi district on Friday morning. Police said the deceased was identified as Pauaa and he lived on pavements with some others. The body bore injury marks on the head.
