The Met department has predicted that the week ahead will be punctuated by rain and thunderstorm.

“The maximum temperature in the coming week is likely to hover between 31 and 33 degree Celsius, with chances of cloudy skies and rainfall. However, it is likely to remain humid as the rainfall will be intermittent” said a Met department official.

While the sky was overcast on Saturday, the city did not receive any rainfall. Maximum temperature remained at 35.3 degree Celsius, one degree above normal.
