Met predicts a sunny Day for ceremony

The weatherman has predicted there would be no rain on the opening day of the Commonwealth Games. Although, going by the prediction for the maximum temperature, you will have to bear scorching heat. HT reports.

The weatherman has predicted there would be no rain on the opening day of the Commonwealth Games. Although, going by the prediction for the maximum temperature, you will have to bear scorching heat.

"(There would be) mainly clear sky on Sunday," the weatherman predicted on Saturday.

While the maximum and minimum temperature recorded on Saturday was 34.2 degrees Celsius and 23.4 degrees Celsius, respectively; on Sunday, the same would be around 34 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively.

Not just on Sunday, the Met office has predicted there would be no rain in the next five days.

"Monsoon withdrawal started from Punjab and Haryana on Monday and over Delhi

from Tuesday," India Meteorological Department Director B.P. Yadav said.
