Met predicts rain on Sunday evening

The national capital witnessed another hot day on Friday as the maximum temperature touched 43.2 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal.

The national capital witnessed another hot day on Friday as the maximum temperature touched 43.2 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 31.5 degrees, also three degrees above normal for this time of the year.

The meteorological department said while Saturday is going to be hot and uncomfortable, Sunday may see rainfall towards the evening. The temperature, however, will continue to remain high, the met dept has said.

"Saturday's maximum temperature is expected to touch 44 degrees, while this is expected to be around 43 degrees on Sunday. Thunder and rain showers are forecast on Sunday and Monday evening. These will, however, not affect the temperatures much," said the weatherman.
