A moderate intensity quake measuring 5.5 on Richter Scale shook parts of Andaman Island early on Saturday morning.

A moderate intensity quake measuring 5.5 on Richter Scale shook parts of Andaman Island early on Saturday morning.

The tremor was felt around 2.50 am and the epicentre of the tremor was located at a latitude of 10.8 degrees North and longitude of 91.7 degrees East, the Meteorology department said in New Delhi.

However, there were no immediate reports of any casualty or damage to property.
