Moily, Prithviraj Chavan to leave for Hyderabad

Law Minister M Veerappa Moily and Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Prithviraj Chavan are leaving Hyderabad to monitor the operation to locate the missing helicopter that was carrying Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

Law Minister M Veerappa Moily and Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Prithviraj Chavan are leaving Hyderabad to monitor the operation to locate the missing helicopter that was carrying Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

Moily told IANS that he was “going to Hyderabad” to monitor the search operation. Sources said Chavan would accompany him.

The helicopter went missing at 9.35 am.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi have expressed their serious concern over the incident and are in close touch with the Andhra chief minister's office. They have also promised all help from the centre.
