Police filed a fresh status report before Metropolitan Magistrate Munish Markan on the case relating to the murder of the 35-year-old fashion designer two years ago.

The suspects have already undergone the narco-analysis tests at a laboratory in Gujarat and the reports were awaited.

The court allowed the plea by the police and fixed the matter for further hearing on July 30.

Earlier, the police had said that four suspects have been taken to Gujarat for getting the tests done on them.

The narco-analysis tests were to be conducted on four suspects including Naveen Suri, husband of the victim, his alleged girlfriend Rachna and Rajiv Sharma.

The court had on March 30 asked the Director General of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) of Gujarat to consider the Delhi police plea for early narco-analysis tests.

The court's action had come on the plea of Manjeet Bawa, father of the victim, seeking speedy investigation.

Bawa had approached the court with a plea to give directions for narco tests on Rachna with whom his son-in-law Naveen Suri allegedly had an extra-marital affair.

The fashion designer was burnt by two persons who poured kerosene on her outside her residence at Greater Kailash area here on August 12, 2007.
