A money lender suffers minor injuries after two men who borrowed money allegedly open fire at him in the Capital in the wee hours.

A money lender suffered minor injuries after two men who borrowed money allegedly opened fire at him in the Capital in the wee hours, police said.

Jitender Lamba (36), the money lender, was shot at allegedly by Satish and Satbir at around 12:30 am in Sector 16 of Dwarka in south-west Delhi, they said.

Lamba had lent Rs 16,000 to Satish and Rs 10,000 to Satbir on a five per cent interest for 15 days but the duo did not return it on time.

The money lender asked them to repay it many times, police said, adding the duo finally agreed and asked him to come to Dwarka so that they could hand over the money.

As Lamba came to the locality, one of them opened fire at him and the duo fled from the scene.

Lamba suffered some pellet injuries and was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital where he was discharged after treatment.

However, both Satish and Satbir were arrested and a case of attempt to murder against them.
