“Sunday morning will remain cloudy but chances of heavy rainfall during morning hours is very less. However, downpour is likely in the afternoon," said B.P. Yadav, director of the India Meteorological Department.

Saturday registered 62 mm rainfall between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. while it received 20.5 mm of rains between 10 p.m. last night and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, the department officials said. "Delhi is likely to register more rainfall for a couple of days, though density of rain will decrease," said Yadav.

The city received a total of 445.9 mm of rains since July 5, when the southwest monsoon hit the capital.

The rainfall, however, failed to bring much relief to the people as relative humidity was on the higher side with the maximum being recorded at 97 per cent and minimum at 67 per cent. The minimum and maximum temperatures were recorded at 26 degree Celsius and 33.5 degree Celsius, respectively on Saturday.
