About 4,000 group-B employees of the government-owned Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) called off their strike on Wednesday.

RSP Sinha, chairman and managing director of MTNL, claimed all services were resumed in most of the places by evening.

“We have restored the optical fibre cables that were cut by the agitating employees,” said Sinha. The strike had paralysed broadband and data services in Delhi for two days.

The employees of the service provider were on strike demanding higher wages, which the management did not accept.
