NDMC’s nod to subways and overbridges
The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has given the nod for grant of administrative approval and expenditure sanction of Rs 75 crore for construction of foot over bridges, underpasses and subways in its area.
The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has given the nod for grant of administrative approval and expenditure sanction of Rs 75 crore for construction of foot over bridges, underpasses and subways in its area.
The approval was granted at a meeting of the Council held here earlier this month after the initial proposal for construction was granted in May 2008.
As per the project, three Foot Over Bridges (FOBs) would be constructed at Africa Avenue, Mother Teresa Crescent and Park Street, two subways at Mandir Marg and Shahjahan Road, while two underpasses would be built at Baba Kharak Singh Marg and Shantipath.
Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System, roped in as the turnkey consultants for the project had carried out a detailed survey earlier .
