Exactly a month after her father identified Neetu Solanki’s body, the family have allegedly been told not to expect her “smart and educated” killer boyfriend to be caught soon.

“My mother and I went to the Crime Branch office at Nehru Place on March 28, exactly a month after my father identified my sister’s body. When we asked them why they had not been able to trace Raju Gahlot despite us giving them all the information, they said it was because he is smarter and more educated than normal killers,” said Alka, Neetu’s younger sister.
The body of the 29-year-old BPO employee was found in a black carry bag outside New Delhi Railway Station on February 11. Her family lives in southwest Delhi’s Matiala Village.
“I asked them why was it that the police were able to track down the man who shot down Radhika Tanwar in Dhaula Kuan in just two days? They said Tanwar’s case wasn’t like Neetu’s. And that we were residents of a village in Uttam Nagar, while she belonged to Vikaspuri. Even the chief minister hadn’t been as interested in Neetu’s case as much as she had been in Radhika’s,” Alka said.
Spurred into action after Neetu’s father Kartar Singh identified her body, the Delhi Police zeroed-in on Raju Gahlot — one of Neetu’s friends who used to stay in the adjacent Nawada village, as her killer and even issued a lookout notice against Gehlot.
