“Gadkari is a responsible man, works responsibly… Setting up sugar mills is a service to that area and secondly taking land and providing excellent quality of seeds to farmers is definitely useful to the farming community,” he told CNN-IBN.

The agriculture minister said Gadkari has been working for the development of farmers and there was no evidence of personal corruption as alleged by Kejriwal and his team.

“If anyone has got some grievance they have every right to make an allegation but better way is to... go to the court and take appropriate action against him.” The Maratha strongman also refuted allegations levelled by activist Anjali Damania that he has business links with Gadkari.
