The police have so far failed to trace a 52-year-old visually impaired man who went missing from Rohini on April 22. The man, identified as Shyam Shrivastava, was the vice principal of a government school.

Shrivastava had gone for his usual morning walk that day but didn’t return home. “He used to go for morning walk from 5:30am to 6:30am everyday. He was last seen by my son and the pujari of the local temple at around 6.45am,” said Harmrit Kaur, Shrivastava’s wife. When he didn’t return, his family started searching for him on its own. Finally, a call was made to the police at 10am.
Shrivastava used to live at B-4/72 LIG flat, sector-18 Rohini. A case of missing has been registered at the Samaipur Badali police station and investigations are on. “Since he was not carrying his mobile phone that morning it is difficult to trace him. We have also questioned his colleagues in school but haven’t been able to trace him,” said a senior police officer.
