No drinking water, no public facilities

There is no drinking water and there are no toilets. The entry to the monument is right on a free-flowing traffic road, with no parking of its own.

When asked why can't ASI provide the much-needed logistics, an official said, "The tourist flow at a monument too needs to be considered. We have to see if the logistics and infrastructure investment is warranted for say only 20 visitors per day."

The tomb follows the pattern of Humayun's Tomb and has chhatris at the corners of the central dome and dalans in the middle of the sides. Ironically, the marble and other stones from here were scrapped off to decorate Safdarjung's Tomb.
