No new job, unless forced by PM or party chief: Rahul

Asked whether he will take a ministerial berth during a press conference here, Gandhi said, "The answer to will I take a ministerial berth...Look, unless I am forced, which the Prime Minister and my boss can do." "But my preference is to work for the youths of the country and build an organisation that this country can be proud of," he said.

However, in a lighter vein he said that his friends in press always wanted him to do "a new job". "Every time I start a job, you guys want me to do a new job...I said I am going to be MP. I spent 2-3 years working in my constituency. You guys said, no no. You cannot be an MP. Okay. "Then General Secretary (of the party) and then no no no. General Secretary of Youth Congress. Then you cannot be General Secretary," he said amid laughter.
"I got more pressure from the friends in the press (to accept a new job)," he added
